Better question is, how do you know? You think all Americans are responsible for this, as if millions of us aren't *actively* reeling in anguish and trying to leave the country. This is a failure of our government. A lot of us know this, so if you really care, ally with us instead of blaming us.
Yeah babes this isn’t it really. The US is the global hegemon, it’s not really about good or bad USians. I dunno how to break it to you but the majority of people outside the US don’t care if you’re a good one or a bad one. We just want you all to leave us the fuck alone.
It’s not about the american people. It’s about how the american government are suffering what they actually caused to every other global south democracy since the 40s.
Yes…. And again, as a non-American, I could literally give less than a shit what they do to each other. I am most concerned about what the GLOBAL HEGEMON is doing to the rest of the world.
It’s about time that Americans realised that not everything is about them
Do you want every critique and complaint to also include a "but not you buddy, your one of the good ones and we know it"?
And yes, it's a failure of the government, but the voters enabled this situation. Ignorance, apathy, hate, all these and more contributed to the current situation.
And the bombs. The literal bombs America has been dropping around the world non-stop for decades. Those too.
(TBF, it's been almost a decade since the last US-backed coup here. Also, it seems bomb-dropping and coup-backing are shining examples of bipartisan cooperation.)
My president is a very watered down version of the republican American, and I can see the influence of US politics on him. Some people keep asking why do I care...
Yeah, there's a lot of "leave us alone" but also "The US is on a level other countries can't possibly fathom so we don't need the opinions of backwater country bumpkins"
It's very much this meme. Just embarrassing as a resident myself.

If you’re not the one pointing the gun at the bomb, it’s not about you. Its that simple
I feel bad for of those reeling in anguish, but its not the point of the post

Also, why are there so many immigrants in Germany!? Why are there Socialists in Bolivia!? Why are there mask restrictions in New Zealand!?"
Et cetera, et cetera. Plus US foreign policy is some countries' domestic policy.
