Always good reading COTW, but perhaps the Wilde Goats was even more beneficial for me than normal - providing an explanation for the collapse that differed from the lens through which I viewed it. I prefer your perspective. I just wish this lesson wasn’t learned against the Leafs. 😃

I had a feeling that they were going to lose after Anderson scored. There have been a few of these collapses around the league recently and with the way Woll was playing, I thought the Habs were due to be one of those teams that collapsed.
They will learn and it won't happen often again.

Great positive take on a bad scene. They needed some heroism at the start of the third period and couldn’t find it. A goaltender change, some shock to the system, might have helped. And it remains a puzzle why the team is shackled with a twelfth forward who doesn’t play.

In that great stretch they never really played with an early lead like they had last night. It felt like they expected the Leafs to give up and the rest of the game would be a walk in the park, they were having too much fun and forgot the powerfull offense they were facing.

After the streak and that wonderful first period, it was easy for them to think that they are better than they are. I still think that they are getting good but not as good as the streak.
