Draw your own scripts. I don't care if its just stick figures. Knowing what you are asking an artist to do changes the way you write.

Do you write? Then you’re a writer. I don’t care if you’re trad published, self published, or not at all published. If you write - you’re a writer. There’s no officiant or badge to collect. You write - you’re a writer. So stop waiting for someone to declare you one. I just did. There you go.

The Shadow magazine from February 15, 1939. Couldn’t find an artist credit for this cover, but I’ve seen it cited as a possible inspiration for the cover to All-Star Comics #3, which introduced the Justice Society of America.
