They send messages via email too. To tell you there is a message in your SSA account online. I will never use X again. And mostly don't use this. We just need to train seniors to set up their SSA online account. Each one teach one. If you have a senior in your life who doesn't know how, do it

Seniors can be served by sending Meals on Wheels folks with laptops and cell phones (hotspots) to their homes to help them set up their SSA access. The website is still there and functioning. Grandkids can borrow tablets or phones to take over. This is fixable.
