I believe there is a delay of 30 days before your account is removed from twitter /X However IF during that period you revisit twitter / X for any reason your account reactivates automatically. Once you close your account on X Do not reopen it by returning to look if it's closed.

I was smaller than a minnow over there but I was able to get my downloads and deactivated last night. It took 2 days for my archives to be ready. I'm just guessing Big accounts to be looked at and tracked by those who wish to stop our free thinking. j/s

I have hardly any followers and can’t deactivate..I have tried many many times. Changed my passwords. So annoying. Someone said delete the app and I am nope…I want his numbers to go down.

If deactivation fails then just ignore it. The key is for everyone to get as hell of far away from Twitter immediately. This platform working well at least for now so let’s help build it.

Mine went through without a hitch. But then again I only had 1.2k followers. Most of which were probably bots anyway. Then I deleted the app off my phone.
