My departed boy Kermit ate a single macadamia nut that had fallen off the counter. He became lethargic and bummed for an entire day. The vet just told us to watch him closely. Apparently depression is one of the symptoms of macadamia nut poisoning in dogs. He did seem so sad, but did recover.
I had them for the first time at a little cafe when Zy and I went to Carlsbad for an anniversary trip some years back. Loved them ever since, started making them at home, too!
Oh man. Favorites are hard. Probably my grandma's recipe, and also the DoubleTree cookies I had at Anthrocon one year since they released the recipe for it. Now I don't have to stop at just one + a hotel booking.
I am going to be an absolute menace, but I actually adore a well-made oatmeal raisin cookie, especially if either made with fresh brown sugar or possibly maple syrup. Only well executed ones, anything subpar will make me sad.
And obvi peanut butter and chocolate chip, and warm sugar cookies.
I have been told by my GF German Chocolate Chip Cookies (ironically called 'American Cookies' here) are superior to their US counterpart, so I will have to go with that! O :>
Not really. I found a recipe online but it was way too minty. So I tinkered with chip ratios. Instead of using only mint chocolate chips, I used half andes creme de menthe chips and half semi-sweet chocolate chips. Perfection. I have to make them for all family gatherings now.
Oh heck yeah! I've loved it for years. Originates from UK too! Love the combo of the two flavours. Absolutely anything flavoured or inspired by banoffee pie is always a win in my books. ^^ 🥧
I love those cookies called “whippets” (NOT THE DRUG.) they’re chocolate covered marshmallow with cookie on the bottom and raspberry. It’s an amazing experience. Thanks for the chance >:3
Well my favorite cookie would have to be these ones my mom likes to make around Christmas time, they’re like sugar cookies but have a Hershey‘s kiss in the middle.
I think my favorite cookie depends entirely on the season! Right now it's prolly just a basic peanut-butter cookie, but give it another month and we'll be in sugar cookie season!
Easier to say that my favorite is whichever cookie is in my hand at the time >.>
I have yet to find the perfect sugar cookie home bake recipe. I occasionally had perfection out and about in the world, but I’ve never managed to bake it myself.
I have a recipe for cornflake cookies that have coconut and cherries in them that are absolutely addictive. Old granny recipe, always been my favorite.
I was gonna say. :-p Setting aside the fact that the best cookie is the one you have in front of you:
- Barely baked chocolate chip cookies are the best
- Frosted sugar cookies are also the best
- White chocolate macadamia cookies from Subway are the best too
- Oreos can be the best as well
- ...
I am partial to a chocolate chip cookie that has hardly any chips sometimes. I love a big soft sugar cookie. Oatmeal scotches. Crumbl copycats. Gingerbread. HFS now I’m hungry
I’m slowly migrating more myself; not as much for the AI harvesting (tho yes I dislike that strongly) but the blocking being changed really changed the math
How can one possibly only take one favorite?
I mean chocolate chip is the favorite of many, but Jaffa Cakes are such good ones too so tasty.
Then there's Stroopwafels, which aren't really cookies so do they even count?, some say they should so lets add those and oh no wait, I'm running out of lette-
It's why the cookies that get all this mix of stuff on them don't appeal much to me hah. Just a simple sugar cookie with a main idea around it makes me happy. Also thank you!
Barely-cooked chocolate chip cookie where it’s got that outer coating but absolutely hot n gooey on the inside, served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Eat with fork.
I know it's boring, but my favorite type of cookie is a soft-baked, doughy, unfrosted sugar cookie, with nothing else added to it. I like other kinds, too, but simple is generally going to be my favorite, in terms of food.
We have this local coffee shop that makes snickerdoodles the size of a dinner plate, and they're soooo soft! It makes for a great lunch. Who cares if it's unhealthy 😂
CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES BABY i absolutely LOVE baking them to give my friends way too many until we feel sick from eating 3 dozens lmao
Even made some with shpes once, this dough doesnt maintain its shape very well tho lol (forgot to photo the result so rip)
My favorite cookies are homemade peanut butter cookies, just because not only are they good but you can *usually* make them with normal basic stuff you would have in the house. Especially good with some peanut M&Ms or regular M&Ms on top, but I also like to forkpress them down and use pb w/ peanuts
My favorite cookie is definitely the doubletree cookie recipe. Best thing to ever come out of quarantine. My partner makes them sometimes and they're just magical
My grandmother used to make them for me every year for Christmas. They'd always be so soft and chewy that by the time I got to the bottom of the tin it'd be one giant cookie. So butterscotchy, too. I've never been able to make them like she did, despite having the recipe 😅
Problem i have is its been so long.. im not sure if it actually is as good as i remember it or if thats just nostalgia.. it was a cookie with a lot of nuts.. some chocolate.. and was only sold by 1 place in a town when i was younger
Excellent! Hard to pick just one, I'm kinda basic in really loving sugar cookies. There's also these Mrs. Fields macadamia ones I don't know the name of that are reeeaaally good, so I'd probably name one of those.
I’m being deadass when I say my fave cookie is in fact chocolate chip LOL but they have to be soft in the middle and gooey and yummy, not the whole cookie hard and crunchy!
My favorite will always be my Gram's specific recipe of chocolate chip. But I rather suspect she often deviated from the recipe as written because nobody's ever quite gotten them exactly the same.
My sister inherited The Recipe Book and worked to reverse-engineer the ones with fewer notes. She had a whole chart for the cookies at one point because changing the smallest things affected their whole makeup.

There's a couple that I like, but I'm not sure the name of their type, so I'll go with a third option, chocolate chip cookie! 🍪
they are HEAVENLY
But...I have an awfully close second place for double stuf neapolitan oreos; a very, VERY guilty pleasure for this hedgie :9
That, and I've also put 2x cookies together for quad-stuf goodness.
Yeah, I have a problem lmao
My current favorite cookie is tripple chocolate chip. But I've been eyeing some cheesecake cookies I want to try.
I guess I like the double chocolate cookies though!
And obvi peanut butter and chocolate chip, and warm sugar cookies.
Gotta love chocolate! :)
Banana and toffee flavoured. Was PURE BLISS 👌
Can't go wrong with snickerdoodles. Give me a stack of them with a tall glass of milk any day of the week.
Yum now I want to bake some
Easier to say that my favorite is whichever cookie is in my hand at the time >.>
It's my favorite time of year when I can make them with Mom.
Hmm...
Coconut macaroons?
Both of those are good tho...
I suppose coconut Macaroons are kinda like the pineapple of cookies. Super good tho, if you get home made ones.
(Who am i kidding? Oatmeal raisin is the pineapple of cookies XD)
Fave cookie: chocolate chip! 😋🍪
Those are CRACK
- Barely baked chocolate chip cookies are the best
- Frosted sugar cookies are also the best
- White chocolate macadamia cookies from Subway are the best too
- Oreos can be the best as well

Wonderful seeing ya here!:D
I mean chocolate chip is the favorite of many, but Jaffa Cakes are such good ones too so tasty.

I'm pretty simple, I love peanut butter cookies.
Basic but still here for a reason!
Thanks a lot for the chance :D
And my favorite cookie? Probably oatmeal, something about them is just right.
I also looove red velvet cookies, but idk how to make them, yet cx
And they are delicious, especially with milk <3
Mwrr, makes me wanna bake more again x3
I'm not sure I have any favourites.. But I made some decent matcha cookies a while ago!
Chocolate-chip, snicker-doodle, peanut-butter, ginger-snap...
I love so many!
I like oatmeal raisin cookies
As for cookies, I'm a big fan of peanut butter cookies with chocolate chips. Can't go wrong mixing PB and chocolate.
In the form of butterscotch and white chocolate. Along with 3 types of chocolate.
Thank you for palooza-ing!!
Unless we're going into Crumbl territory... oh god... then how can I choose? D:
Those things are often my breakfast for at least 1-2 days of the week lol.
My favorite cookie is thumbprints, but specifically the ones from a local bakery with two inches of buttercream on top.
Even made some with shpes once, this dough doesnt maintain its shape very well tho lol (forgot to photo the result so rip)
White chocolate macadamia is probably the favorite favorite, but peanut butter (with crunchies) is also a top contender.
My mother-in-law made some really good oatmeal cookies, too.
Fudgy chocolate brownie cookies :>

They have a margin note: Make a double batch in case of hungry mice.
