I spent like the entire first day under the discover tab not realizing I wasn’t seeing anyone I followed lol. It has all that! Mines all art, books, rocks, and space or whatever I said I was interested in when I signed up. I just click back and forth between them.

If it helps, you can also go into your settings, moderation and then click tag words (I think something like that) and you can specify words you don't want to see. If a post shows up with those words, it will warn you, but won't show you unless you click on the post.

Same same. Mine’s very political. I need to find a wider variety of people to follow. I do have a dedicated Swiftie feed to peruse if I need a break from my main feed though. Maybe there are other feeds to subscribe to.

It’s not so much an algorithm. Posts are posted chronologically. You need to choose the interest feeds you want. Follow those feeds rather than your Following or Discover feed.
