There was a not insignificant South Asian vote for it on the basis that the EU letting Romanians and Poles in was a racist policy that was resulting in making it harder for South Asians to come, as well

(That said, I have /also/ heard this was stronger in postal than on the day votes, presumably due to the most blatantly racist Leave ads being in the last week, which makes sense)
