2/ For instance, this week a 14-year-old was murdered because she, a trans girl, would not have sex with a man. That's the first problem. Trans people are often murdered people who *KNOW* we are trans and want to have sex *BECAUSE* we are trans when we say no. There are some reasons for this.

3/ The transphobic assumption is that we are unattractive, "unfuckable" if you will, to the majority of cis men (I.E. the only people that matter). In fact, we are the least fuckable of people. So if we say no, that's way more of an insult to some men's ego than if a cis supermodel said no.

4/ We're supposed to be thrilled if a guy wants to have sex with us, because they are doing us a favor or something. In essence, this causes humiliation to the man. Humiliation is an emotion that many people don't know how to handle.

5/ In the case of the murder, the man who killed this 14-year-old KNEW she was trans. That's WHY he wanted to have sex with her.

But sometimes people don't know at first glance we're trans. You can't always tell, and we don't usually carry signs around saying we're trans.

6/ That's another frightening scenario for a trans woman: she's minding her own business, when some guy sees a hot woman. He cat-calls her, or maybe goes up to her at the bar, or whatever. At some point he realizes she is trans. Again, humiliation for the man, particularly if his mates see this.

7/ One way some men deal with humiliation of this type is to assert they aren't gay or feminine in any way. So they do what society tells a lot of men to do to assert masculinity: act out violently. The woman minding her own business thus dies at the hand of an embarrassed, homophobic, man.
