Doomscrolling on Blue Sky is a million times more satisfying than Meta. There are no profit-driven algorithms turning rage into "engagement", so scam ads or paid content, and amazing blocking tools.

However it falls well short of Meta when it comes to actual engagement with actual friends. I feel like I'm just shouting into the void instead of actually talking to anyone.
Discord is too broken up by social groups or topics; if you have a wide range of friends or many interests you need to jump back and forth to each channel. I am not a fan.
And I NEVER click on a FB ad. If it's something I'm interested in, I note the company and just search for it later. Yeah, the browser still "knows" I visited the company, but it helps. I hope you feel you can come back and join your friends again. Bsky is nice, but FB has more friend engagement.
It's now much harder to find the "Facebook Most Recent" setting these days, but if you dig through the settings it's still there. I was about to dump FB until I found it. Make sure you bookmark that setting, 'cause every now and then it reverts back to regular FB.
Many friends have complained they don't see their friends' posts and just see so much junk. FB has a setting where you see your friends posts in reverse chronological order. I see almost ALL of their posts and other things I've liked. Ads are still there, but it seems fewer than before.
In order to stay away from the idiots on FB, I admit I just scroll on by and never reply to their crap. It's not like I could change their minds so I don't engage. Because of that, my FB doesn't have many trolls. I've unfollowed friends from high school are are redneck Drumpers--I'm from redneck PA
Yeah, I'm still on Facebook. However, I follow Alt National Park Service here so I can scroll right on by those posts in Facebook. Things I want to interact with a lot, I follow here, then cancel on FB or pass by quickly. I'm trying to keep my FB "engagement" to a minimum.
