It’s a longstanding tactic of antivaxxers to try to portray themselves as “not antivax” but rather “pro-vaccine safety.” Jenny McCarthy used to say this all the time, “I’m not ‘antivaccine.’ I’m pro-safe vaccine.” What RFK Jr. is doing here is no different than what antivaxxers frequently do.

Here’s the problem. Almost no one ever asks these “pro-vaccine safety” types to define what they consider to be a safe and effective vaccine. What are their criteria? What evidence would they require to consider a vaccine safe and effective?

If you do that, you’ll find that their standards are basically 100% safe and 100% effective, with a level of evidence unobtainable in the real world. And if scientists come close to meeting their standard, they inevitably move the goalposts.
