I mean most of us were like that, especially once you worked in the higher end restaurants in a large city where you could cover rent with a good shift. Once I hit that my budgeting skills turned to crap because if I was broke I just worked a double.
30 years later and my husband and I still have almost weekly waiter dream nightmares: the kitchen is in the weeds, the bar is backed up, working double sections because of no shows on a Friday night. Waiting tables changes your brain.
