I agree, it’s kinda disgusting they are going through with it right now. while the US President is threatening so many and hurting so many ..taking away from the less wealthy as all these rich celebs play dress up and get rewarded 🤢 read the room!
I’ve haven’t watched Hollywood award shows for years. Here they are, rich and famous. Then they have to hand out awards to themselves. Give me a break!
All corporations & non-profits hand out awards in their organizations. They have annual award ceremonies to recognize their employees efforts. This is no different. Art is more important than ever. Film employs THOUSANDS of people. If the industry is so offensive to you, stop watching movies. 🤷🏻♀️
Watching entertainment is a break from the insanity. It might not be your cup of tea, but for others it’s a welcome diversion. The same as you playing Nintendo, which some might say is a complete waste of time. 🤷🏻♀️

Having respite from time to time prevents burnout, depression, etc.
