tom brady and snoop dogg starring in a "stand up to hate" commercial while both being supporters and friends of donald trump is kinda the natural conclusion of "just be kind <3" messaging that refuses to engage with politics

I didn’t know they're Trump supporters, but that ad rubbed me the wrong way. The Black man saying “I hate you because we’re from different neighborhoods” as if redlining isn’t why. Hating your oppressor is justified IMO, but minorities aren’t bigoted, and depicting them as such is so problematic
Snoop says - I hate that things are so bad we have to make a commercial for this just weeks after performing at an inauguration for the most hateful and divisive president we have ever had
Come on, just be nice to one another! I know one side is trying to strip away your rights and deport your friends and family, but gosh darn it, can’t we still get along???
This is great. We need to think & act bigger. If possible, all of us rally at lunchtime from where-ever we are. Trumusk will not stop this mess. This will continue for the rest of their presidency (5%/yr?) so if your contract is up…Goodbye.

Singing just leave well enough alone
And it's all too clear we're on our own
Singing ashes, ashes, all fall down
Reminds you that the NFL is big business and won't say no to money
