You suggest here that trans adults are being denied healthcare because of the Cass review, which isn’t true. The remit for Cass was care for children showing gender incongruence. The petition you mention suggests the evidence cited in Cass was biased, which also isn’t true. You should correct.

In fact the Cass Review itself found more studies were required, it is literally part of the recommendations the government is acting on in full. I would suggest reading the review, understanding the context in which this petition was started and correcting your message on the podcast.

1. WRT to battery life, this isn't really to do with planned obsolescence rather battery behaviour & limitations were poorly explained/reported a few years ago, & hasn't been shaken off in the public consciousness. Generally, users want phones to do more, which often means more power is required.

4. That aside multiple apps regularly requesting an iPhone's location will also eat up battery life. This also goes for automatic app updates & downloads over cellular networks. You'll also find things worse while roaming because providers in other countries throttle data speeds for foreign phones.

3. I suspect that this is one of the main reasons that so many phones are much larger nowadays. That aside, you can help improve performance by checking your iPhone settings, such as location & App Update, Podcast download settings. Generally, most apps have no business in knowing your location.

2. Newer technologies help to improve performance but offer relatively small-stepped gains. Apple (+ others) also address performance through more efficient components (CPU/GPU). But as we are talking about electrochemical nature of batteries, larger ones offer greater energy storage & performance.
