James always said that he want to let Reeves cook, James is not someone who want to take over everything under his own when its not their own intentions. he respect Reeve to do his own thing
Maybe but Jim's gun does have range to him so I don't think it's all going to be fun. Fun joke joke. I think depending on what corner of the DCU you're in, you're going to get different kind of energy to fit the character
I mean either way is fine as long as we get good stories and great movies
I still think they should make "The Batman" a "A Year Earlier" type of story, just saying the trilogy takes place four or five years before "Superman" so they can still get their slightly older, dad Batman in the DCU current time.
That way he can get all that VENGEANCE out of his system and mature.
no. The Batman would not work AT ALL in James Gunn’s universe. The Batman is grounded way more in reality. the DCU is colorful and weird just like comic books. it would make zero sense for them to merge
That way, the trilogy can be as grounded as he wants.
But by "Superman" (current day), the world and the threats have grown, and the Batman must adapt as he expands outside of Gotham and into the DCU at large as a hero.
none of this would work because the DCU has been full of colorful heroes for decades. it makes no sense that they would ignore gotham since we see no colorful heroes in The Batman. the best thing is to introduce a new batman that fits in with the DCU as it is in creature commandos and superman
You know, I’m getting really tired of big studios, confusing our anticipation as eagerness to wait. They need to be faster, producing the stuff, or maybe choose other people who can work at the speed to produce the product that they need to.
Just depends which direction WB/DC, Reeves and Gun want to go in. I feel they can tell a compelling Iron Man - Avengers-ish storyline with Robert Pattinson. Start the audience at the beginning and we grow with him as he ages and goes through his Robins to middle ages Batman
I'm willing to bet the sex pest keeps pushing it further and further out because he wants his DCU to be the only DCU with no competition from better movies.
If Gunn doesn't outright cancel this series I'll be shocked.
I kinda like what Nintendo does with their video game releases: 6 months or less you get the announcement of the game with a near-to-finish game trailer. No time to think, just hurry up to the pre-order page! Win-win, ansiety gone.

But hey, I have a feeling it is for the best. 👍👍
I still think James wants to integrate "The Batman" into the DCU, but Reeves is still apprehensive. He's probably waiting to see how "Superman" does.
I think movies he's directly doing will be his style but not the whole DCU
The contrast between Reeves Batman and his Superman would make for an interesting world's finest
Reeves Batman would be pointless & trite alongside this Superman.

Age up the Batman & they can say he's matured and stuff.
you could still get the Batman, but fit the more mature Bat-narrative the DCU was looking for.

I mean either one works. I could care less which direction they go in as long as I get a great movie and good stories
It was still entertaining but not as good. That said the spinoff series on Penguin was amazing
If Gunn doesn't outright cancel this series I'll be shocked.
