Both myself and I are vaccinated against shingles. Some people do get shingles even after the vaccine. Some people take the first dose but fail to take the 2nd dose. It happened to my SIL and he got shingles bc he got only the first dose.
I hope he recovers soon.

I was reading it's around 90 something % now. Even when it was only 50% with the old Zostravax, I got vaxxed anyway. I have several friends between 40 & 50 years old who got shingles, and then 2 of them got it twice! In a few years, I'll get boosted again, they said its good for 4 years to 7 years.
