Iβve been struggling driving at night, over past year or two & thought my eyesight was to blame..
Getting dazzled & having to concentrate hard to ensure I keep in lane..
But itβs actually ultra bright headlights FGSβοΈπ‘π€·πΌββοΈ

I don't drive in the dark at all because of the glare.
But l hate driving at night π
I had to stop driving at night or if it was a dark day
Full beams were another level too
I'm very passionate about the issue!
I actually got to the stage where I slightly dread driving at night now .. so even if it helps a bit, will be a plus
Thanks for this, never thought someone would have churned out these!
I just had an eye test, partly because I was concerned about this, and my eyes are okay, but the optician was at a loss when I said that I was struggling at night driving, but now we know the answer.
I drive a normal car- not a faux-by-four- and I get blinded not only from oncoming traffic but by the massive toddler transporter behind me as well.
Automatic headlights mean theyβre on in the day as well should it become remotely overcast.

And feckin loud headlamps.
Yeah, I'd say there are probs.
By next winter, I was taking levothyroxine for underactive thyroid and the issue was very much better. And has been ever since.
Always worth consideringβ¦
On motorways and in open country it's OK.

Maybe only some models?
I thought indicators were an optional extra on Audis & BMWs!
Further shocking news - Some Audi drivers keep to speed limits as well as indicate. π
And I had a little 106 when I lived in Geneva in the early 2000s.
I've always had a thing for Peugeots. Can't get 'em here in the States though.
I've given up driving on some roads in winter because the dazzle makes it such hard work.
Speed of automatic adjustment versus the speed of light.
It's weird to me that others are only just noticing.
I just ride an escooter now and often have to hold my hand up to block the light even in urban streets.
But absolutely, as we get older, obviously itβs exacerbated
