One of my closest friends and I became so close after realizing we were both in the same town after college. We weren't close at all before that point, but we both just recently got out of bad relationships at that point and bonded heavily over it...

After one night out drinking and grabbing burgers, we planned a trip together that we eventually saved for over 3 years and went on this summer :3 saved my sanity over the pandemic playing video games together and wouldn't trade that time for anything

Met my partner at a birthday party (of which he learned about less than a day in advance), and we then started nerding out about medieval arms and armor.

It happened a bit fast. We'd known each other for awhile before, but his other partner could see him and I were really in to one another and was like "if I didn't know better I'd say you like him". Weeks later we confessed (maybe blurted) we loved each other

Lots of texting back and forth with nothing serious in mind until we finally decided that there might be something to it. We decided I'd visit him in the States and we started dating after that! He moved to Canada a year later :p

Met a cute fox fursuiter in the lobby at CFz, cuddled a little, exchanged contacts, chatted, met up a couple times, he turned out to be a sweetheart and also handsome and sexy out of suit with a bunch of stuff in common and around the same age. We were both our first boyfriends in our 30s.

We met during the pandemic, texted a bit beforehand, but met up quickly for a beer.
Ended up staying overnight cause I "accidentally" missed my last train home, then proceeded to make him watch rodeo horse competitions and bullriding through the night with me (mind u we're German xD)

Hit it off talking about cameras, convinced him to come to TFF one year, picked him up in my little car and we drove to the con late at night with the top down. Cut to the next 4 years and we have been on trips to Colorado, Chicago, Utah, Banff and more together.
