I got to see exactly how the Tlingit people in Alaska lived, and it's unfortunate that many of them struggle in almost every aspect of life. But their resilience, not just physical, but mental is astounding and how much they cling to their culture and traditions that they've had since birth.

Fucking golf courses in Arizona keep demanding more and more water. Most of them are owned by selfish, racist assholes that hate the desert but built the courses here anyway so they could make money off of retired people (who leave for their other house in the summer).

The Tohono O'odham nation has had problems in the past with getting enough water. San Xavier as well.

Thank you for bringing light to this struggle. My in-laws live on Black Mesa still have to haul water for daily use. They used to go to the nearby coal mine to shower but now that it’s gone, my husband installed a pump that they can shower at home. Still, an ongoing struggle and inequity.
