oh this is absolutely phenomenal, lacing/mesh? you used for eds tattoos was inspired!!! i jusg learned how to applique for this project though j went much simpler than this so i am stunned by the detail you achieved here!!! just gorgeous 💖💖💖
This was very much a “trust the process” kind of piece, because several times I was convinced it was going to be terrible 😂 look at Stede’s hand blob before I added Ed’s hand!!!
Then I screwed up by making the shadows on Ed’s hand too dark, and it was really bothering me. So I did what any normal person would do and dyed my own fabric to get the color I wanted, picked out the old stuff, and put the new on. It still didn’t loon right but adding the tattoos tied it together!
Loon right? Look right. Loons are some of my favorite birds and autocorrect knows me well lol
Anyway I had a marvelous time, spent probably a solid 50+ hours putting it together, and will probably sew on a frame and display it somewhere, it delights me.
