I’m never going to not be incandescently angry in a country hijacked by anti-intellectual nationalistic rapists and thieves, so it’s a matter of teaming up with likeminded people or gtfo. I’m finding it difficult to follow organizing attempts though, there are so many resources.
“Righteous anger” is a universal human emotion for those who have an intact sense of fairness, justice, empathy & compassion. It’s very hard to “turn it off” because it arises from a deeper place than so-called “petty anger”. I don’t know what can make you feel better, except that you are not alone.
Anger is a valid feeling!! And it’s a feeling that so many of us are feeling right now. Just because we can’t control something doesn’t mean the feeling is any less valid or that trying to suppress it makes anything better.
I can so identify with this. In my world it is mostly people who have not stayed clued in to politics at all.. who may or may not have even voted. We are in the struggle of our lives- it is absolute chaos. Be very angry!
Well, folks always think they have the answers to other peoples' problems. It's like "heal in silent" - great if it works for you, but I prefer to heal quite loudly so I'm holding myself more accountable and allowing others to feel valid if they're hurting too
We have to be angry and we have to fight, to defend our rights and we have to protest and we have to march!! We can not just wait and do nothing! It’s infuriating and frustrating and actually scary!
It’s not meant to make you feel better. It is meant to keep you in your place by convincing you that you’re helpless and that there are certain emotions that you’re not entitled to.
One shouldn't be angry at injustices just because one can't control them? Nuh uh. Anger over people's suffering is a sign of a good heart. Someone I worked with told me that anger = "I am." Take care of yourself amidst the righteous anger.
People who claim that are deluding themselves. Maybe people could stay “blissfully” ignorant for a bit, but when people they know are arrested/deported/ill/dead, will they feel blissful then? When it happens to them, will they feel blissful? How about even when grocery prices skyrocket?
Let yourself be angry, but don't let it define you. Fighting and caring are important, but if you're neck deep in that every waking moment, it will destroy you. You're no good to anyone, yourself included, if you're destroyed.

If you can control it you DO something about it.
wtf ???
Reminds me of the scene from A Few Good Men. The reality IS most people can’t handle the truth.
I will never ever say that to anyone and I'm sorry people are saying that to you
If you’re not angry, you’re not paying attention!
It’s the hippy version of “do what you’re told.”
I'm so very frustrated that all the "checks and balances" are just smoke and mirrors, and that so many people are spineless thugs 😭
This is not a bad thing. We should embrace our feelings and channel them into actions that make a difference.
I am angry, too. And afraid. And sad.
Also, there are other, equally valid feelings to be feeling right now.
