Rural hospitals rely on Medicare and Medicaid payments. They will likely close or have reduced services if these programs are cut. And with measles, bird flu, COVID, and no vaccine for next year's flu, it's not hyperbole to say that these cuts will cost lives.

My predoctoral research grant (F31D) had a date for study section of early March. As of today, this has been deleted. We'll see what that means soon, I'm sure.

I'm a diversity student with a diversity training grant who does autism research. I'm already a lightning rod, so using that as a platform, I took ownership of making a statement to my grad program that DEI will continue through student-led initiatives. I urge everyone who can to do the same.
