We gotta keep people who use the term "headcanon" daily from rewriting the history people like me were fucking alive for, people didn't think the movie was scary was because it was true, it's because it was a new and innovative twist in the horror genre that was getting pretty stale

Innovation to me was the sound design and overall lack of plot / detail / definition so that you’d hear a familiar noise and a viewer’s mind would fill in the rest.
We left the theater and unanimously agreed it was stupid and not scary. LOL
