I remember him being pretty tough. I think the guides suggest him first because of the upgrade in his stage, plus you get a really good weapon from the maverick next in the weakness chain so to speak
As one of the bosses that aren't really annoyed by their weakness, he is a bit more challenging than the others. I wouldn't think you're bad over it. He's just not reacting like the others do. He's even less fun with Zero...
It's hard for his weakness to really work, since you have to cut the thread he's hanging from with it to stun him; even worse, it stops stunning him in phase two, and Zero can't stun him at all. You're probably doing alright and just haven't fully learned his patterns. You got this.
I think part of that is that playing the game with X is actually a lot tougher than playing with Zero- it almost feels like the game was designed more with him in mind, at least in certain spots
Do you think that everyone in his life, at least once, did the joke of saying "Uh oh, I must be sick, I'm seeing Double!" as he enters the room, thinking they're the first person to do it?
Hell yeah! I grew up without any consoles, but I could emulate X4 with Bleem on my PC, so I played the absolute shit out of this one. Hope you enjoy it!
X4 was my first annd the game tht got me more open to difficult games. Almost my Dark souls, but Dark Souls was a better start to the hardest games still.
I really want a trans examination of Megaman X. Everybody being -man in the past and then it's a future of androgynous animals. X (chromosomes) has a red (estogen) gem on his head, and gradually becomes more like the long-haired Zero Norms.
The original X will always be my favorite game in the series, but that magical moment where you actually get to play as zero, and not as a guest/temp character
