Getting into a creative endeavor like art or writing or video production or programming or whatever is always going to be hard and time consuming, and you’re going to struggle and you won’t always be 100% satisfied with your work, but that’s the joy of it? The joy of the process, of becoming better

if any artists have a cure (?) for that I would love to hear it.
I have typed (literally for hours straight at 140? wpm)
My fingers were fine, but my brain felt like it did a 10 mile sprint!
Often times I have 3 or 4 things that I want to write down (I know I wont remember) and I have to pick the ones to write down, while still typing at full speed into the original story.
I really appreciate you and the suggestions, thank you

but in those moments where it hits. when you're just hearing the words and writing them down
there's nothing else like it
It was, literally, an epiphany.
Absolutely worth the climb.
Honestly, I struggle to find joy of improving when I know that no matter how hard I work, I'll always be far behind everyone else. (And no, telling me that everyone started somewhere doesn't make me feel better)
Focusing on my skills won't make me an equal... it won't make the pain go away!
I write because I'll go nuts if I don't, metaphorically speaking, and that's reason enough to continue to do it.
despite that, i feel like a lot more joy comes from the payoff of actually creating the thing inside my head than the process of improving
