Every artist talks about their influences, I don’t see how AI is any different than that, many great artists directly use samples from other artists. If anything AI is capable of being more original than people
AI has laregely been built and rolled out based upon exploitation. Government is way too slow to apply the brakes. Most of them don't even understand it. On the plus side, AI disappears up its own dark passage once everything has been scraped and exploited. It cant generate its own learning content.
Nobody intervened on behalf of taxi owners in some countries. Owners who lost everything when Uber and similar have been allowed to displace or even replace them. No compensation, despite governments milking the taxi industry for decades for the privilege of having taxi licenses.
Big business will do any damn thing other than pay artists a decent wage. Sure, let's build some new power plants to run the server farms that make AI work, but no way in hell can we give creators enough to live on.
You may be right, but I do believe we will start to cherish real, human made art.
Still, to this day, I have yet to see a prompt properly executed by AI.
I believe we will be able to distinguish. Or so I should hope… 🤷♂️
The thing is, most people aren't going to notice because things will be 'good enough'. In the 1960s, if you wanted orchestral backing, a dozen or more musicians would be brought in. Synthesizers reduced that to 1. Songwriting will become like blacksmithing. Or at least that's my sci fi novel idea.
Music has always been about a handful of artists making big bucks and a long tail making basically nothing. Its the writers and session musicians for Screenplays, Computer games, kids TV that are going to be swept away by the tsunami of AI music. It will be carnage in these sectors.

AI will never be a human being. Never.
It would have provided whistleblower protections for people like me.

AI was touted as a great tool for taking on monotonous human tasks. Instead, they're training it to take over creative sectors.
Billionaires stole the entire internet and want artists to starve while they get rich from their stolen works.
I’ve been trying to tell people this for years now.
After all, the moment any work rises to prominence, the AI driven companies will instantly pivot.
Art, whether Audio or Visual will become ever harder to make a living via

Once corporations don't need us...well, it's hard enough making a living with art now.
Value in human content?
Society is already turning away from that concept.
Because studios have been using AI in script development and CGI animation to minimise staff requirements.
And that's before considering AI music.
It's now gotten to the stage where you can create realistic video and make any photo a nude.
🤔
That's within 2 years.
Imagine a year from now.
