Haggis (known as ‘tagais’ in Scottish Gaelic) is a dish made from the liver, stomach or heart of sheep or cows. Whatever meat is used is usually mixed with onion, oatmeal and suet before being boiled in the animal’s stomach. OMG ewwww
The sad part is, all it will take for this fake haggis to become successful in the States is to have it endorsed by "The Orange Turd" and the "Mentally Challenged Rain Starship Over Tropical Islands manchild." A little more than half the voting population in the States will eat it up.
Scotsman told me once that if you soak it in single malt or Cointreau, the flavour is much improved and renders it almost edible. Also that it wasn’t intended to be a national dish but Robbie Burns made it so.
I am part Scottish & our morbid appetite means haggis is the least of your concerns if you are scared of what recipes might come from the wild!!!!! Ahhhhhahahahahhaaaaaa
Quite Neanderthal & Proud. ☄️

That looks like something that could easily be re-created by using TVP granules, and it would be better for the animals, including people, and the environment.
For the sake of our American cousins I hope they can get it close enough. Love some haggis, but will it be the same without that sweet sweet sheep lung??

I do eat the very occasional vegetarian haggis by these people and it’s not bad.
Also Americans: get some of those mechanically extracted meat hotdogs in. I love me some anus.
I love this for US.
