There can be no talks until Ukraine gets the chance to elect a legitimate government. The Junta who currently seized power must step down and allow the people of Ukraine to talk freely. If they are legitimate, then the people will choose them again. If not, then the real leaders will come forward.
signing of the Munich Agreement on 30 September 1938, ceding the German-speaking Sudetenland region of Czechoslovakia to Nazi Germany led by Adolf Hitler.
World War 2 began in 1939 with Hitler invading Poland.
Trump's Peace Plan according to Sec. of Defense "H,immler" Hegseth and Sec. of State "von Ribbentrop" Rubio, @ukraine-official.bsky.social @meanwhileua.bsky.social @deaidua.org surrenders to Trump buddy and Russian Nazi Fuhrer and War Criminal Vladimir Putin. Why he wants to destroy World Court.
Making clear to the US that there is not much of a justification for accepting US Army bases in Europe if they are not willing to show solidarity with their NATO partners certainly is a negotiating position. The US may then show whether or not there is a reason for them to stay.
I think that DeepSeek et all have proven that the so-called AI advantage of the big tech companies is just a thin veil to cover the pump-and-dump scheme of those insanely overvalued companies.
We've been doing very advanced AI with far less resources and without dependence on any of the big guys.
They just don't care. They are criminals in the white house. They will want to close the bases to save money and please Putin. Not in Kansas anymore. Strategic influence isn't their thing.
Trump might not care about others, but here his own interests could be at stake.
Even his govt should be interested in European bases for the sake of protecting themselves from Russia, eg for launching rockets. Plus, the bases also should have some significance in case of a US - China conflict.
His own interests are barely tied to the presence of the U.S. military around the globe. His allegiance clearly lies with what we should consider our enemies.
I mean, Trump called Putin before he even called Justin Trudeau... It's clear where his priorities are.
What if…Mexico, unprovoked invaded the US, a war ensued that lasts several years. Canada, a world power intervenes and negotiates the solution- the US will give Texas to Mexico. How does that sound? Funny how it sounds when the names change….
in any negotiations. Zelensky should meet with Ukrainian and EU lawyers and negotiators leaving us out. Trump is incapable of fairness and Hegseth is a buffoon.
Europe has no choice now except rearm and mobilize strongly as it needs to support brave Ukraine on its own. Let’s Unfreeze Russian assets and finance the biggest rearming and democracy rebuilding effort in 80 years. Putin will only surrender to strength.
When the invader and a former president get to define "peace" without the invaded, it's not a negotiation—it's an auction. And Ukraine is the item on the block.
Should folks be filing bar complaints against every government lawyer helping trump advance his unconstitutional/illegal orders!??? - They swore an oath to uphold the constitution and the law and are subject to professional ethics are they not? Trump is not their client the US Government is!
NATO is over anyway, EU needs to find its own path. Maybe add Canada and take Britain back? Hey even dealing with China these days is better then dealing with Trump. And kick Hungary out of EU, or how about trade it with Putin, Hungary for Ukraine, that sounds reasonable, no?
"Ukraine must be provided with strong security guarantees. A fair and sustainable peace in Ukraine is a necessary condition for strong Euro-Atlantic security."

WOW now what y’all gonna do? All the Intelligent Agencies Around the World heard the plans, and said let’s see what happens if CREAM color people control everything.
It's a start. Nobody gave America the right to negotiate for Ukraine.
Trump doesn't ever get irony.
He makes it clear, Europe must look after it's own defence, which it must.
But then goes to Putin, discussing European continental security, without Europe or Ukraine.
Europe must say no.
It's becoming clear, Trump believes the world is real estate to be held by the US, Russia, and China. He believes he can take countries' resources and sell them back to Oligarghs for a price. Elon is behind this and the purchase of Greenland. Humans are replaceable.
What about that doesn't fit. With me calling for Europe to step up?
America under trump is no longer an ally who can be automatically counted on.
Even within the nato framework, imo.
You're saying the US doesn't have the right to negotiate on behalf of Ukraine. I would say they absolutely do as they have bankrolled the entire affair. Ukraine has followed their orders. They've literally made themselves lackies.
You see things as trump does. Everything is a business transaction.
That isn't a point of view I hold.
But even within that point of view.
Europe has spent billions of euros on Ukraine.
Not to mention the hit to Ukraines own economy.
America has no rights.
I give not a jot who ends this war. Just that it ends. People who are too stupid to understand how reckless it is to push the most heavily armed nuclear power in to an existential crisis are not worth the time explaining things.
The USA position is now that it's OK for Russia to keep land they gained, it's basically rolling over for Putin and appeasement. MAGA Isn't strong, it's weak. Europe/Ukraine and NATO will push back against this and they should, Trump's a Putin plaything, and so is Hegseth
It's not about 'rolling over'. It's about accepting reality. Ukraine can't win the war. How many more need to die ? You should be asking yourself why this war happened in the first place. If you say 'cos Russia invaded'. Trust me, you need to read more and post less.
I'm sorry it is about rolling over. Empowering Putin and you'll end up fighting him somewhere else. They tried it with Hitler, you embolden them. Russia didn't win the war, Ukraine has not lost it either. Spare me the conspiracy theory Putin spun propaganda. https://www.britannica.com/event/Munich-Agreement
Europe must not only stand strong with Ukraine in negotiations, but must be willing to back UA on the ground. Only when Putin realizes he can't win by force will he negotiate in earnest. If Trump won't allow NATO membership for UA, then maybe EU membership could be considered, backed by an EU army.
Trump is from the Bully School of Diplomacy. Since his inauguration last month he has exhibited it with Greenland, Canada, Panama Canal, Gaza and now Ukraine. Trump should be united with Europe to support Ukraine. Instead of dancing with the devil cozying up to Putin. Putin is weak and vulnerable.
Zelensky and the EU should consider the possibility of a defensive pact entirely excluding the US, and the UK would be wise to assist. The first step is building a GPS alternative so EU missiles can fly without US authority.
Absolutely. Europe and NATO must stand together with Ukraine. Moreover, they must learn to work together without the United States. The U.S. is in chaos right now and must not be allowed to dictate the terms of multilateral alliances and multinational exercises.
The EU has 27 member states; NATO has 32. They are forced by the present circumstances to move forward as one but without any degree of reliance on the U.S. . They can do this. The only acceptable & viable outcome is the defeat of Putin. There’s no chance of peace in Europe w/o Putin’s defeat.
I may be completely wrong, but what I see is Trump *before* negotiations giving Putin everything he requires for a cease-fire, then looking to force Ukraine into agreeing by withholding military support, and then claim a diplomatic victory. EU has to be ready now to fight without USA.
Remember that a few ragtag kids in Afghanistan up in the mountains kept Russia Bay for years and Russia imploded. The Ukrainians really want to fight, No negotiation and the US should be kicked out and Europe can support Ukraine and Russia will implode the same way in a few years.
Putin creaming his pants after Trump's call. The biggest con: convince the US they are in a hot/cold-war with Russia, while Putin sucker-punches Ukraine

What, Sir? You get to keep everything you’ve taken from Ukraine…because you worked so hard to get it…
Yes Sir! And you’re going to come to visit me?
Oh, Sir!! Thank…
What’s that, Sir?
The best President ever!!
Sir…oh Sir…Thank you, Sir…
(Hangs up and whispers)
I love you, Daddy…
Peace in our Time motif.

World war 3 in 2026?
Meanwhile, the U.S. can then degenerate into the Northern American version of North Korea.
Also, if Canada wants to join the European Union, come on over... we even speak French here...

Please stand firm against Putin & Trump.

A sad American

Donald is a dictator. He has more in common with Viktor (Orban), and with Vladimir, than with Western leaders.
Have we begun to consider the possibility of Donald forming an alliance with Vladimir?
