If Taiwan gives Trump chip manufacturing capabilities they will have absolutely no leverage over the US to help them against a potential Chinese invasion. After how Trump is treating past allies how could they trust the USA with anything really?

Do we all see it clearly? Trump wants TSMC's advanced chip manufacturing shifted to the US so he can stand down and allow China to finally have Taiwan and so he can say he lost nothing. Pity if Taipei actually still believes US will protect it.
