Don't follow over a thousand people, wait for them to follow you back and then unfollow half of them once you're happy with your follower count

We all want followers sure but going out of your way to try and manipulate it by mass following folks and then unfollowing ain't the right way to go, i don't get these folks at all 😩
I think 50% of my following is from the other app tbf

Its your space at the end of the day! But there's a difference between that and straight up just trying to manipulate your own follower count which a lot of accounts try to do 😩
What I really hate is those accounts that look for follows, wait a week and then start mass unfollowing hundreds of people, its fake as fuck

When I follow someone I don't except them to follow back. Same goes to my followers. Don't expect me to follow back just like that. Interact with me instead and give me a reason to follow back.
Maybe I should specify because I don't want ppl thinking otherwise. I'm just saying+
Although some will make posts about wanting to find new mutuals. Sometimes unfortunately, that's a lie and they only want numbers 😅
Definitely being more careful about who I follow now.
Now, if it's part of their own purge or they don't actually like me that's fine, but i think we both know the truth here.
If I vibe with someone right off the bat or we were moots for a long time before on the other place and connected before that’s an automatic follow from me
