*Looks nervously at my 360 games on steam, 150 games on discs from PS1 - PS3 + PC95-XP, 10 games on Battlenet and 2500 games within the Emulator folder with games for GB, GBA, GBC, N64, PS1-3, Switch, Wii-Wii-U and DOS*
I mean, with Humble Bundles, subscription related free games, gifts, and overzealous deal buying, it's not that hard to have a large backlog untouched.
I have thousands I haven't played. Many I never will, because I just bought them to build my collection so I could feel like a video game KING (in my own mind). Such as the entire Imagine series on DS. WHAT WAS I THINKING? 🤪
I wasn't really competing with anyone, I just wanted a massive collection.
I have about 20-ish physical copy games in my cabinet that I haven't played yet. Some of them still have plastic wrap on them 😅 don't get me started on my steam library 😂
Only 30? Indeed, you’re a gamer. My backlog would take me a few more lifetimes to complete. 30 is very reasonable, in my opinion. Good day to you, gamer!
Oh god yeah I'm terrible for that. I add games to my wishlist if I'm even vaguely interested and when they pop up on deep sales I buy them all. I've actually been trying to get better at that recently it's a very bad habit of mine.
yep, got at least 10 or 15 switch games alone im nowhere near completed even after having for years, not evening counting the copius amounts of steam games i own but my laptop cant handle like baldurs gate
I just bought 6 games and i might not even get a chance to play them for another 2 to 3 years... cuz I'm playing catch up on all the other games in the same category... XD
Heck, the majority of my 4,500+ games are games I haven't played. Even on the Switch, I think the only games I played all the way through are first party games. One small stack out of 534 Switch games. I feel ashamed of my own self. Seems I became more of a collector than an actual gamer. 🥴
Holy shit 4500?! Man I have like 800 in my digital library on PS and thought that was crazy. 4500….WOW! Also I mean collecting games is still a gamer and you play what you like, sounds legit to me!
Holy shit?! All physical media? Omg idk that I have space for anything like that. Every free space in my house is filled with either my books overflow or my boxes from my statues/figures. There’s not much room for another obsession lol I bet you have a lot of shelving lol
Actually, no. I don't. The only games I have on display (in shelves on the wall) are my Switch and PS5 games. All of my other games are packed in cardboard boxes. I always wished I had a lot of space to display them all. But I doubt I ever will.
No. If I buy a game, I play it. Even if it's only for a few hours and it's truly awful. If I paid for it, you best believe I'm at least going to try it.
And rather than tackle a game you own but haven't started, you choose to play the same comfort game again for the 30th time, starting from scratch of course.
That makes me feel better. Technically with the PS Plus sub I get 3 free games a month and have them as long as I’m subbed, so I have hundreds of un-started games.
I HAVEN'T CLEARED IT ALL... yet. But I used to have well over 100 and that's when I realized 'damn I need to get ahold of myself & stop this madness' 😅 Not even trying to gloat, I've had insane progress over the last 2 years. I think I've nailed down my method/system in dealing with my backlog💜
I definitely make exceptions for some new releases because there's just some games so important I will drop everything for (GHOST OF YOTEI 👁👅👁)
Although I can count on 1 hand how many I get within the year. I limit myself to only a handful of purchases, for example if there's a special edition +
I got a vr headset with 400+ games on it. I’ve played maybe 1/3 of them. The rest I got because they looked like fun games. I’ve also got a lot of one play game saves that never got touched again. Not that the games were bad but other games were more interesting at the time.
Game Pass is a love hate relationship. I always ask myself why I have a whole library of games but only play a select two or three. I miss coming home from school at 3 and having all night to game every day.
I used GG app to track my backlog, wishlist and what I have played, I remove games I no longer interested in out of my backlog, I only buy new games when there is a very good sale or when it’s a new game and I wanna play day 1, and I actually play backlog games 🤭
Yea, but we are less of a unmotivated pessimistic gamer. We stop playing when the wife walks in naked. You will know when you have me in voice chat because you will hear. Welp gotta go the Pie is ready!!!!
I owned a copy of RPG Maker 3 for the Playstation 2 that I bought when it came out in 2004. Never opened it. It just sits in my collection still in its shrink-wrap.

(I need to keep my sanity down somehow) ;)
90% of the 22 are long RPGs, so it still feels daunting
I wasn't really competing with anyone, I just wanted a massive collection.
life is about the journey
And by this one, I mean me. 👍
Curse you bundles!
Not because I don't have time, but because, when I do have time, I reach for my comfort games first.
I think I'm in tripple digits too 🙄
I really should at least make sure they work when I buy them
At least 30 😉
That seems...low 👀
(I may have a lot more than that, that I haven't even started🫠)
Let’s not talk about my number.
I need to sit down; I'm not a real gamer! *Sob*
I roll a randomizer to choose the next game. Currently there's about 75 left. Mostly free games from Epic.
Planning on doing videos about them too but that depends on my editing motivation
You actually played the games! You're better than all of us at this point

AT LEAST 30
Ha...haha...hahahahahahaHAHAHAHAHhhHHhHBBBbBHahahahahahahahahahahhahaHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!
Also...hope you've been having a good week, brother🥰
You don't criticize stamp collectors for not putting stamps on letters
One of my main hobbies is exploring shops all over Japan, finding retro games and consoles cheaply.
If I sold my collection off piecemeal, at current typical sales prices, I would get more than 2 years of average salary in this country.
I wouldn't though. It's a library to me.
You've put it off for so long
