I haven’t enjoyed a game this much since Morrowind. Jumping off a tall cliff into deep water and swimming down to the bottom (assuming you miss the rocks and survive). The little hidden things and the things you have to figure out how to get to (but don’t need to, because they’re just extras).

I did not, honestly, your take on it pushed me away completely, losing the remedy identity was a big turn off, bc max Payne 2 was AMAZING and I don’t really want that taste to go away just yet, maybe down the line but I’m happy with where it ended for now
That's unfortunately the issue with monster hunter, you really need to either already be really interested going in, or you need someone to explain shit cuz otherwise you have to sift through a million tutorial prompts that somehow over explain and under explain everything at the same time
You know what's funny, I played the demo for Rise and was like wtf is this clunky ass game. Months later it was on sale and I grabbed it to give it another chance and I loved it so much! I will say playing with friends definitely enhances the experience if you're trying to get into it
Yeah, I’m several hours into Avowed, and it’s just falling flat for me. It’s not a bad game at all, just not vibing w/it. I’m gonna give it another session or two, but I may go back to an older game instead. Maybe Odyssey or Cyberpunk 2077. What’s not clicking for you?
It is a very polarizing game. I personally love it, but it depends on your expectations. I just love finding new stuff to read and lore. But if you don't like exposition and such, I can totally understand bouncing off!
Yeah a LOT of dialog, but also a lot of story to tell. Character design & VA is great, just flat for me so far. Companions are a huge part of any game for me. Intrigued enough to keep playing for sure, and it’s a well
made game, just not as into it - yet - as I thought I’d be.
I feel that. Sometimes it comes down to the timing and your mood for certain games. I def wasn’t into Hades or Dark Souls the first time I played them but came back a few months later and loved them. I hope Avowed is that for you when you return.
