I think Trump is toying with us. He picks the worst of the worst, we freak out & panic, then he withdraws them and picks a loyalist who isn't quite as bad. We breathe a sigh of relief and vote in the second choice who Trump wanted all along.

He does have some knowledge in that sphere; having that is essential to being a northern plains-state governor like he is.
