If I had to say what's made me despise corporate media I guess I'd say the people
I've moved between well-known institutions for decades and have never encountered as many rich kids who stumbled into journalism after an internship their parents supported them through as I have in corporate media

When have you seen an exposè on immigrants? Who they are, why they are coming, what they are fleeing? No, it’s the wealthy & their stories the media obsess over.
It's as smug as you think.

My daily news/opinion diet is HCR, Joyce Vance, et al. They cite sources which I often read for deeper insight. Also: International versions of major world newspapers to escape the US news “bubble”.
Tl;dr when in doubt of independent media, check their fundind (and that might prove difficult!)
Same for most any corporate stuff (nice way of saying ($#!+).
Sad.
Definitely tracks
