That is where I went too. It is the hand at the throats that made me go what is going on. I obviously have it very very wrong but it is a bit ambiguous, but probably not at all ambiguous had I been there.
I know I'm in the minority but I don't like the trend toward performance-style weddings that resemble stage entertainments instead simple ceremonies and nice parties called receptions.

My nephew and his bride had a Harry Potter and Star Wars themed reception. Their first dance began normally, then turned into a light saber duel until she pulled a wand and disarmed him. It was glorious.
