"In August 2014, a groundbreaking report by former senior social worker Alexis Jay revealed an estimated 1,400 children had been sexually abused in Rotherham from 1997-2013 [&] that council staff and others knew of the abuse but turned a blind eye”
I get the frustration, but responsibility for running the clock down, taking zero action, dismissing victims, burying results that didn't fit the narrative, etc, wasn't him.

I really hope I don't see any of that lot on here...... although I know one has an account, which I quickly blocked.
Such a shame for a newspaper I bought daily for 30 years for the quality of its journalism. Stopped buying it during the Blair/Brown years.
Worked there years ago, when it had some integrity. Now it's a rag.
I’m a feminist and was appalled at the vitriolic abuse directed at Cherie Blair by female journalists in the main. IMHO she was the epitome of self made success
It wasn’t the case of ‘liking’ Cherie Blair, I just thought she was such a powerful role model for women.
My grandmother and mother were the same. My mother used to turn up on site in Ireland to be greeted with, 'hello pet - where's the architect?' to which she used to smile and say, 'hello sonny, I am the architect'. And she was a really good one.
There was also a full scale enquiry in 2022 that the Tories completely ignored.
This isn’t culture wars, it’s a simple integrity test that you are failing.
