You might get interested in the Mariko Tamaki [She-]Hulk series. Jen's alter ego is gray and savage (MUCH more so than the original series), her changes are more uncontrollable, everyone knows this and yet---she still manages to have a job as a lawyer.
Way back in this, her first ever series, yes she had issues with transformations and rage. She got better of course because women can control their rages better.
You don't have to read it, and you can feel free to ignore it, but if you do read it don't assume it's wrong because of changes made to the character after the book was written. (2)
She-Hulk has been through a lot of changes over the years, but in her first series, She-Hulk *was* more of a separate personality than Jen. She was smarter than the Hulk and she knew that she was Jen, but she wasn't quite the same person. (1)
