alongside everything else, is there precedence for a vp to sit in on and talk over the president during a press op with a foreign head of state at the white house?

(ok caveat Clinton regularly had roundtables in the Oval Office [look at the photos, it's so tight in there] and the ones involving the environment/global warming he had Gore lead) — Bush had his own meetings with foreign leaders before they went in to meet Reagan — Cheney's this in every pic 🤐

Biden's in a lot of them! I think foreign leaders really liked Joe Biden because he's charming and funny and Obama knew while his charisma was for TV he could not meet the sort of retail politicking necessary for in-person foreign policy that Biden had (then, at least)
