Listening to the taxing private schools debate, some MPs are opposing on peculiar basis of providing "our children" with good education.
But only ~6% can afford private school, so I'll be voting for a wider definition of "our" children who deserve a good education: ALL children.

If so, the state pays for a lot of that through local education funds via SEND.
Fix SEND before arguing about that and people won't have to think about the cost of private school in that scenario.
"Low cost" isn't the most important element in my view either.
The education system as it is is failing SEND pupils specifically. Rich parents will always find a way to get a "better education" because the value of that education is much higher than a state education.
I would support going as far as to just ban private schools, but there are probably more elegant and less extreme solutions to it.
