My favorite content on Bluesky so far is the #urbanism stuff so I thought I’d add mine to the mix with a thread about the cities where I’ve lived. Maybe I’ll expand it in some way, who knows?

1) Concord, NH. My home city, born in the hospital there and stayed until I went away to school. It’s a pretty mid-sized New England city with a much nicer walkable downtown these days thanks to some far-sighted citizens and planners. Access to the White Mountains is a major perk. Photo from a hike.
2) Andover, MA. Went to high school there and generally was oblivious to its offerings beyond the few things I walked to downtown - Fleet Bank, a very greasy pizza place, the CVS. Very nice town, posh in some ways, quaint in others.
3) Princeton, NJ. An even posher town with a great walkable downtown if you wanted expensive ice cream, cheap beer, and a handful of other things (Burger King!). Kind of deliberately indifferent to the adjacent student population. Rental housing was scarce and mostly off limits to undergrads.
