I just deleted my Facebook. It had 18 years of stuff on there, but somehow I feel lighter. Like a burden has been lifted. (I did use a tool to backup all my images, though)
You’ve neglected to recognize the addiction to dopamine these micro-interactions facilitate and how we should treat this as such if we want to live more productive and joyful lives.

I’ve deleted all social apps from my phone. Using RSS feeds to keep up to date on the am and pm. I go to bed earlier (9pm) and start reading a book. No screens in the bedroom. Create blocks of time allowed for ‘scrolling’. Bluesky is great because it’s chronological instead of algorithmic.
