All the talk from @optimstie.bsky.social about Riding With Death always brings to mind (for me) other MST3K "movies" that were actually 2 episodes of a tv show edited together. Like... DID YOU KNOW - there were a total of SEVEN "Master Ninja" movies? And Europe had better movie titles, tbh. - ThreadSky

I am honestly surprised, with all the Nostalga-Baiting that Rifftrax does (and this is not, in any way, a complaint about it) that they've never hit up any of the others. Wonder if it's a rights issue.

That's a good point. RiffTrax sells a bunch of MST3K episodes but they don't have either Master Ninja...

The first three #MST3K episodes ever broadcast were all tv shows edited into movies, as were 'Cosmic Princess' and 'Mighty Jack' - all in the KTMA run.

Mighty Jack was in good company, Sandy Frank loved doing that to Japanese series. Time of the Apes was 'Saru no Gundan' and Fugitive Alien 1 and 2 were both 'Star Wolf'.

Unfortunately, when Frank made his, he usually edited first and last episodes together, so no real way to do more of 'em.
