My listening today was Cincinnati which led me to Let Me Lie on the Bar 17 album which led me to all the other album versions and then the acoustic F8 version and then I just went Curtain With and McGrupp from that set because they’re so so good

F8 was my 2/3/4 phish shows and my first festival ever. Life changing. It was the start of my “finding myself” journey after a break up to someone I thought I was gonna marry. I spent a lot time singing Let Me Lie at the top of my lungs while working through everything.

Holy shit, it's not just me. I have this strange love for this song, heard it last week as I was listening to Albany '09. Something about those lyrics that I just really enjoy. Wish they'd bring it back, and yes, I know that I(we) are in the minority on this.

Trey is 100% in that camp. You've probably read it, but he said in this September interview that he thought "Let Me Lie" would "be the best Phish song, but it wasn’t. I think it’s on three different albums, but it didn’t get legs."

Let Me Lie 😮‍💨 I had Bar 17 on cd but it was PT that hooked me 🎣 . Saw it in Albany 09 where it’s become an inside bit to this day. Some very special friends saw the LTP in Charleston and I like the connections this song has to me. Traveler version may be tops now but Trey was really feeling Bar 17

I’ve seen a few of the Phish versions: Albany 09 and then the bust out at Hartford in 2016 (a memorable show for sure since I also got my first Tela that night, which is my favorite Phish song). I always love it.
