Surely you could build 3/4s of the ground without affecting St. James' then reduced capacity when the final 1/4 affected The Leazes End. Not ideal but it's hard to think of where else we'd play.

Either of them gives the women’s team a future home, as well as possibly the Falcons. The article suggests it might not be necessary, build 3/4 while still at St James then hurry to knock down the Leazes end and finish the bit there in the summer

If they build it to 3/4 completion and the pitch they could be able to retain exiting stadium and then make a switch to demolish and complete last stand. All depends on how far up the road I guess.

At the point they would need to knock the Leazes End down, the 3/4 of a new stadium should still be big enough to house those displaced (or even our current 52k). They could move in whilst the final section was completed

Although also some suggestion that's why they have kept the number of ST's relatively low. They only have the obligation to them and a % away fans
