Love Iceland, been twice.
(My twin girls were there on a school trip when that volcano blew a few years ago. Got stranded, then evacuated).

When they flew out, their flight and another one getting kids out were the only two planes in the sky in the whole of Europe.

A friend did a motorbike tour a couple of years ago and loved it. The pictures looked amazing. There was a place called Diamond beach which was black but with ice particles that just looked like diamonds

My best friend’s daughter went there on a Guiding event. She absolutely loved it and it has to some extent shaped her career. Your lad is a lucky boy!
