A reminder to everyone that a Canadian potash export ban would essentially cripple American agriculture.
Let's stop pretending we're helpless in this fight.

Boycott us

I think I speak for all of us when I say:
Please donβt shut off our power.
Tarifs are not really our problem, they're more πΊπΈ problem. Is he tarifing hydro? We could use reduced demand for a bit.
Last I checked though, y'all were getting our hydro for less than we pay. At a minimum, exports should be at retail market value + taxes. Cheap but fairer.
WE don't pay the American tariffs but it makes our goods more expensive and if our American buyers can't absorb the cost they won't buy.
We've known the wood was coming for years, and they've clearcut as much as they could. So we can slash production by 50% and be okay for us. Less profit, more balance.
Anyways, we will be fine up here. Hope you guys survive and manage to fix your Russia problem.
Good luck!
THE TRUE NORTH STRONG AND FREE.
All other countries have inferior potassium
Canada, and the rest of the world, needs to approach this as a threat to sovereignty.
They've already cancelled meals on wheels.π¬
Oh and the migrant workers won't be there for long either...
I guess Scott Moe loves Donald Trump more than he loves Canada and Canadians. SAD!

Better not to mine it.
And if we try to ban it only from going into the US, then American agriculture companies could just buy it indirectly through those third countries.
Export restrictions are a lot harder than tariffs.
"It is incredibly hard for us to do anything and trivially easy for our enemies to find work-arounds" is the mantra of Vichy-ites and other losers.
Don't be one of them.
Plus TMX output surcharges etc etc
We can disrupt the supply chain across many key sectors
