I’ll throw one in the mix, Western Stars might be his most underrated album, a sublime album & Bruce channelling his inner Jimmy Webb. A quiet grower of an album 😎
An absolutely extraordinary album - have you heard its outtake Born In The USA? Could scarcely be more different to the later version, it properly suits the lyric. https://youtu.be/22Gh1wQEe1I?si=P87Rm2aI1N6-jdYK
He's so good at writing characters who've had an unfairly tough time & are trying to be decent & hold it together but are starting to crumble with the effort
Discovered “Born to Run” ten years after its release and damn if it’s not a great album.
His lyrics are tamed from his dylanesque approach on previous albums and the themes focus on seeking love and survival in the gritty 70s. Wonderful album.
Really enjoying it. I knew it was one of his most revered albums and I can understand why now. Looking forward to trying others, there’s a lot to go at obviously!

Definitely need to explore this darker side of him.
