And you still have to add the CM5 and SSD. The cheapest 16GB RAM CM5 with wifi will be priced around 100 pounds (excl. VAT). Cheapest 8GB RAM w/ wifi is 65 pounds.
Perhaps, given that Argon40 are an approved reseller, they’ll use that to their advantage and offer a CM5 as part of it at a decent price? They have their own NVMe drives it seems, so I think it would be cool if they offer ready-to-go, and BYO-CM5 options!
True! I've always been curious about the TuringPi but I can't justify the cost of it "just because". I can't say I'm a massive fan of their marketing on socials either but maybe I'm just grumpy :D

There are a few 8GB RAM Pi 5 in stock right now though. I doubt anyone would want less than 8GB RAM on a laptop
