Say nothing, wait until he walks out the door and take anything you want that's important, do not worry about being emotional (you have a right) or being petty (he texted you a breakup, that deserves petty). And absolutely, positively do not give one f*ck what his family says.
Text breakups need to be normalized, or at least de-stigmatized. The most dangerous time for a woman in even a non-violent relationship is when she leaves. We don't owe men an in-person talk, not when it risks our mental health or physical safety.
And breaking up a 3 year relationship by text? I can't shake my head enough 🙄
And block those people. Calling you petty when he broke up with you via text is asinine. They can buy him what he needs.
send him a text right after he gets home to the empty apartment😇😇😇
It's bad enough that they can take your soul. Don't let them take your stuff too.
it's sad
Once people break up 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺’𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘰 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳 𝘢 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘮. They can break up via any medium that suits them.
If the medium feels wrong to you, that just shows how incompatible the people were.
We need to stop saying it's always horrible to do. Women, not men, are the ones more susceptible to social pressure, so will be more likely to need to breakup via text, but not do it bc they don't want to be the sucky one.
But the story here is not one where safety was a factor, so the urge to defend always strikes me as off
It’s a shitty thing to do, the majority of the time. We can talk about that
Once you’ve broken up, you’re not a team. You & the ex will no longer necessarily be taking each other into account.
In this case, that means your household goods are yours, & your ex’s relatives will be unpleasant.
He's such a coward. Breaking up by text when you literally just saw the person is next level lame.
Is he not a grown ass man?
